Swinging the Lead (the Antidote to Boy Bands) are perfect at providing a relaxed, fun evening of Music that will suit all members of the family (especially the old codgers who sit and gripe about discos!)

We are a band of friends that play music that relaxes us.and our audiences alike. We love family parties and have the happy knack of getting the whole audience involved with a gentle party atmosphere. We can play loud (that's why we have a PA system) but we get a much better response by playing lively, catchy music and leaving space for people to talk to each other. Of course we expect to have them up on their feet by the end of the function but we know from long experience just how important it is that the pace of a party develops during the evening and that starting out at full pelt doesn't allow the party spirit to grow. We are based on the Solent in Hampshire and we will travel but prefer to stay within 50 miles of Portsmouth. We come complete with a quality PA, are fully insured and have a wide repertory of music. Think Folk Rock meets the Dubliners and crashes into country music! You just have to hear it to believe it!
